I Don't aggree with your latest post...

Firstly, DEFINE UNIFORRM...the polo IS our school uniform. Its unique in many ways(cooling...)

Secondly, Schools are not to differenciate betweens uniforms, but just to study... And you cannot treat uniforms as branded goods... they are just a form of material covering our skin.

Thirdly, since you chose this school, you have to be proud of everything in and of it(including the uniforms) We study till late in the day, would you rather see people soaking in the VERY PROPER UNIFORMS or would you rather see people studying in a comfortable environment?

There are pros and cons for the uniforms and the polos... And different people think differently... What do you think if you are in the shoes of the commitee deciding?
And which is better, being comfortable or being vain?

Pros of the proper uniforms are that it is more formal and approachable... thats why we have both the uniforms....

because my odds on posting again is less than striking toto while flattening mount everest, i'm writing as much as i can before the day runs out in 20 mins.
about the lantern-making thingy, i don't think i did anything. materials and logistics provisor doesn't count.... btw, attractive prizes => other nice lanterns from last year....?

let me give an account of school so far. english is ok, maths is hard (yes i did get out of the class and did the ws in 2mins), biology is making me lose appetite (and even harder than maths), physics is fine until we get to the last page of the notes, chemistry is murderous until i research my sec 1 books, chinese is hardworking (i.e. making me work harder than usual), art is dirty as charcoal, geog is better than most, PE is even better, and break+lunch+free periods are the best. Most importantly, be reminded of yourselves that no matter how bad you are, i am worse.

hey ppl... today, we handed in our lantern to be judged for the lantern making competition... i just want to make a point here...
we made this lantern, not for the purpose of winning the so called attractive prizes...
we made this not to prove to others tat we hv famous artists in the making....( do we?lol...)
we made this to rove tat we m06301 can work as a class! we can work unitedly... so do not be discouraged if we do not get the attracive prizes.... wats most impt is tat we made this a clas effort and everyone played a part in making this lantern... be it ur scotchtape, ur ang baos.. all of these small efforts go into making this lantern.. so as said, dun be discouraged.. we worked as a team! we r united!!!LOL...

HELLO 301 !!!!! haha once again i am posting XD


DISSECTING IS FUN XD


let me show u some pics XD

and i'm sure many of you know of what happened to me last nite XD

haha 15 mins after a call i received, i took my medication, and guess what... my mum said that she heard my phone alarm ringing, and she found my head, on the laptop's keyboard, and it was continously pressing on different letters XD haha
then as u all know, my room has a small staircase which leads to my bed, and when i woke up this morning, i was totally lost, and i was feeling so freaking weird XD haha
oh wells, i guess i have to get more sleep XD

EVERY1 ( well not every1 larh) says that i'm looking very worn out nowadays !!! haha AM I ?
well.... ppl ask me if it's pressure or anything ... hmmmm... well, it's not of any like serious kind of pressure that i know of. BESIDES , everyone has pressure... it just depends on the intensity of it.... hmm.... well, it could be because i dun want to let my parents down in any way.. well.... let me think up of why i'm getting thinner, and well, looking more worn out than ever XD

ok so yupp, presentations for chem is not until after chinese new yr XD
i have to go for CHINESE NEW YR REHERSALS tmrw XD haha so WISH ME LUCK XD
and BOY... will i look like a dwarf next to HONGBO ... SIGHS .... REIKO - GROW TALLER haha..... i'm sure it's one the many "teen" problems many of us want to overcome.... but heck XD... AT LEAST all of u dun ahve to emcee next to a "tree" heh ( no off - offence)

Summary???

Back again...
Description of the two weeks so far... OK LAH...

Fun stuff:
Biology- Yay! First time into bio practical only and already cutting up stuff! To be precise, sheep's heart! Muahahahaha! I feel so evil. Of course we learn't lots of fun things from the lesson, aorta, ventricles...etc

Maths(gambling)- Too bad for those who never take the module... We started learning our first lesson on POKER! And played it too... ZM is the winner... lucky sh**. Maybe this will entice you to come over to join! Time passes fast when you are having fun...

Chemistry- Yay... no presentation... more time to prepare(not for my group which has finished long time ago : )

P.E.- Okok lah... at least got free time to play other games...(except for kenneth and reiko who were busy listening to ipod)... I want the field!

Not-so-fun-stuff:
Erm..... so far so good...
Only maths need more work.. hmmmmmmm.

here's something( a short story) i'm sure many of u have heard of
THE PENCIL PARABLE

I'm Alright

Hey People, this is zhong ming. I think some people kinda misunderstood what I really meant in my post. But I think even more people think I am a pessimist. WELL, I am not. I know what people are trying to get at me, and it's just that I don't say things out. So I am innocent (or not...)

About that post, I was just trying to write some things out. It's not a post about scolding people, it's about getting people to work together in teams. It is not about leadership actually, it's about teamwork. I believe many of you read this from a wrong perspective. Okay, maybe this is getting philosophical, as you might get to know me in the future. Darn, why did I just spill all the beans? Why?

Okay lar. I don't know how some people thought I am a very sad person, one who has a low self-morale, but that ain't true. Maybe it's just that I am trying to cover up my egoistic bad self. Maybe.

ESIP

haha hello 301ians XD
as u all know, we had our ESIP test yesterday
which was the 21st of january
we had it over at Raffles instituition .
at 12 noon we were basically registered and stuff, and we waited till 2 to sit for the test
haha we were basically doing lame stuff, mugging, or SOMETHING . and i was taking pictures XD
haha anyways
we went in for the test
and i wont say the test was EXTREMELY HARD or EXTREMELY EASY
but it was fun to do XD
considering that the time span for each of the 9 tests was the obstacle we had to overcome,
it was really challenging, but hey IT WAS JUST A psychological assesment ( although that did made us sound like IMH freaks going in for some scan) it was well worth it - WE GOT EXPERIENCE

something priceless don't u think?
anyways

i did meet some ppl like benjamin- a guy my pri school and from RI. i saw rouhui - a ballet mate - from nanyang....and.... hmm.... who else did i c..... haha basically, i met some friends, and DIDN WE HAVE FUN TAKING PICS animal club?? haha

CAITLIN - u are so evil......

yesterday was SIQI's Birthday - EVERYONE WISH HIM HAPPY BLATED BDAY

LANTERN MAKING

hello 301ians XD
this is wad i posted on my blog
but i guess it should be posted here as well


during ACE, we had our lanter making... and i must thank JOSHUA, ZHONGMING,PERRY and grp for joining the bottles together XD must thk KENNETH ( ipod buddy ) who brought the origami book ,chengxu and hongbo who did quite alot in wrapping the whole lantern ( thx to SHUHUI's crepe paper and ZM's tape), weiying and ME XD for pasting the fishes ... JOSHUA WHOSE criticism- made me change the arrangement for e SPHERICAL OBJECTS , so the design was simpler and better....... and of course to everyone else XD one thing for sure , HOW MUCH u participated, does not show much , at least ALL OF YOU DID contribute in one way or another and i appreciate that.in fact i think all of us should be proud of ourselves.there is room for improvement and if we carry on like this,strong and bonded i think the improvement level will rise. despite of the lantern not being THAT FANTASTIC or wonderful, there was team effort, the lantern was unique, becoz it was made our way, and effort was put in not becoz we wanted to win any competition,but becoz we knew that co-operating as a class, brings everyone together, and there's nothing more important, than building team spirit,and having a good laugh as well XD

I have decided to break the silence for the first time. It has really pissed me off today about our discussion. The contributors getting rowdy, the 'leaders' getting confused, etc. This really has to stop. To the contributors, suggestions are good, but are they sustainable? Ask yourself that. To the 'leaders', your job is to do facilitation, and not at certain points in time, reject ideas based by your thinking.

Leadership
Leadership is not about who's getting the power or not, or who's making the decision. Leadership is about being a servant. Serve and you will be rewarded. Or at least something like that. Being a leader DOES not mean you have to lead all the time, it means that you allow the best man to lead the job. You are merely a facilitator, a jack-of-all-trades (janes if any says im sexcist xD). Have we been servants or 'leaders' actually?



Note that I am not criticising those who were leading the discussion today. I am deeply saddened by what people think they are. Being confident and proud is just a thin line of seperation. At many times, how many of us actually ever bothered to even think before we speak? How many of us cared for the implications? Are you one of those?

i would like to apologize for today's very badly managed discussion XD
which obviously means that
I TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT THE thing ,so yeah, i promise that the next time we have a discussion - IT WILL BE CONDUCTED properly .
i must stress on the fact that WE MUST GET THE WHOLE CLASS INVOLVED
i understand some of the ppl are not very keen on speaking up
BUT i'm sure there are others in our class who can take some action
and might i say , SIQI did contribute his idea to us after class,so forgive him for not participating too actively before( I SEE SOME EFFORT HERE.)
so, gd work there although he should have given the ideas when we asked XD
so yeah. we MUST THK HIM OK
btw, i hope the class treasurer will collect enuff funds by at least nxt tuesday. WE NEED MONEY XD becoz i will go broke buying bday cards, and erm presents XD although i volunteered to buy XD now i realise that i'm well NOT that rich. and we might need the funds for things like files etc or a class tee etc etc

i will give the role to either caitlin OR arun
but i would like to suggestt that u all nominate again. so we will have ONE class treasurer for the whole yr, who will work with the other 4 reps

apart from that, i think the class is going on quite well and WE ALL ROCK XD

HI everyone! Jack here!

ok the reason why i showed u the squares was becausei wanted to emphasize on the point that despite of us being all the same squares, we are scattered around, and our thickness and length is different, SO all of us despite being different, still have a similarity that bonds us together, the differences in us only makes our bond stronger ecause we learn to appreciate each other and learn from each other
